Information for Schools
The Liberty & Law Institute is available to teach our course on America’s Founding Documents, “A Nation of Liberty – A Nation of Laws”, in your school, at no cost to you. The course is available to middle and high school students at public, private, religious, charter and home schools. Once we develop an ongoing relationship with your school, one of our volunteer teachers will adopt your school and we will teach the course to your students every succeeding year.
“A Nation of Liberty – A Nation of Laws” is a carefully organized five-lesson course which focuses on the actual text of our nation’s Founding Documents: the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution, as amended. Course objectives include an understanding of the history and reasons for these documents, their actual text, the principles which guided their design and the operation of our national government. These objectives are reinforced by giving each student a personal “keepsake quality” pocket copy of the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution of the United States to read, study and keep for future reference. Teaching methods include lectures with liberal participatory discussions and practical exercises to illustrate important points. To maintain our academic focus, the Liberty and Law Institute’s teachers strictly avoid any discussion or debate about current events, issues or personalities. At course conclusion, each student should have an appreciation for the superiority of America’s governing principles and institutions in securing our unalienable Rights, as well as an understanding of how our national government is designed and works.
